About Us

Wolfe Memorial, LLC is proud to be one of the only female owned funeral homes in the greater Pittsburgh area. It is our intention to preserve tradition for the families we serve, but also to make way for new alternative funeral service trends in our changing society. We endeavor to serve, educate, and treat all individuals with dignity and respect while creating lasting tributes for loved ones gone before us.

The Wolfe family funeral services dates back to 1918 when Robert A. Wolfe's grandfather, Samuel W. Wolfe, began serving families from his East Pittsburgh funeral home. This tradition continued into the next generation as Samuel's son, Robert E. Wolfe, began serving families from his Wilkinsburg location in 1959. Tragically Robert E. Wolfe died in 1967, and at that time his wife Lois continued to manage the family business until their son became a licensed funeral director in 1980. Lois continued to work alongside Bob when they relocated the business to Forest Hills in 1994. After exactly 100 years of service, Robert A. Wolfe decided to take a step back from his work to spend more quality time with his family and chose his successor, Kristin L. Hauman.

Kristin brings her own unique perspective and experiences to Wolfe Memorial, LLC. She has dedicated her career to showing compassion and support to bereaved families with emphasis on honoring established traditions while also creating new traditions through alternative funeral options. As a new mother, Kristin believes in maintaining the highest level of ethical standards while providing a caring and loving environment for families in their time of need.
