Helen Elizabeth (Kearney) DiLucente lived a full life for 89 years before passing away on June 21, 2018, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers, Florida.
Originally from Rankin, Pennsylvania, Helen was the daughter of Patrick Kearney and Helen Mura. She married her high school sweetheart, Bruno DiLucente, in 1951. The couple built a home in Forest Hills where they enjoyed raising their three children. They later moved to Columbia, Maryland, and eventually retired to Florida to live near their devoted daughter. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years in February 2010. Helen is survived by her three children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Her firstborn son, David, and wife Susan; her grand-daughter Kristen, husband Matthew and great-grandchildren Aedan and Averey; her grand-daughter Jenna and husband Simon; her second son, Dennis, and wife Audrey Beth; and her beloved daughter, Lisa, and husband Vincent. Helen is also survived by her Godson, Robert Bernard, as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, cousins, step-grandchildren and step-great-granddaughter, Scarlett, a fond playmate. Although Helen was an only child, she passed away knowing the joy of a supportive extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 6, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 10am at Saint Maurice Catholic Church, 2001 Ardmore Blvd., with burial at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, 1506 Brinton Road in Braddock Hills.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, Florida, 33908. The facility enabled her to spend her last days in peace and comfort, surrounded her children.
