Samuel E. Danile

On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, age 95, of Forest Hills. He was born in Sharpsburg on June 18, 1923, the son of Joseph & Angelina Danile. In his youth, Sam worked as a golf caddy at Oakmont and served in the US Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was a co-owner of Vallino's Atlantic Station and retired from US Steel in 1984. Sam was a member of St. Maurice Parish and resident of Forest Hills since the 1950s, and traveled extensively with his wife. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Grace M. Danile, his brothers Henry, Felix, Gregory, Anthony, and Emanuel Danile, and his sisters Flora Danile, Catherine Danile, Rose Danile, and Katherine “Katie” Sharpf. Sam will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews to whom he was very generous. Friends received Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Forest Hills PA 15221. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday 10am at St. Maurice Church, 2001 Ardmore Blvd. Interment in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
