Alfred "Al" G. Cova

Of Ligonier, formerly of Forest Hills, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Loving father of Clayton Cova (Allison Daugherty) of North Huntingdon and Alyssa Cova of Chalfant. Proud grandfather of Darien and Alyvia Peterson and Reginald "Reggie" and Ronan O'Neal. Brother of John Cova (Dale), and the late Janice Abaray (Michael). Uncle of Amy Capwell (Robert). Also survived by his loyal companion, Petey. Al was born at Columbia Hospital on March 28, 1956, the son of Alphonso and Ursula (D'Ambrosio) Cova, and raised in Forest Hills with his siblings. He raised his own family in Penn Hills and worked for Frito-Lay for over 25 years. In 2018, he retired in Ligonier and enjoyed fishing in his backyard in Four Mile Run. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren.  Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Friday, Nov. 1 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 10:30am followed by entombment in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
