Barbara P. Peterson

Age 87, of Concordia Lutheran Havens, Cabot, PA, formerly of Forest Hills, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

Beloved wife of the late William D. Peterson. Loving mother of Joanna Blazeck (John) of Mt. Lebanon and Julie Donolo of Turtle Creek. Dear sister of the late George Patterson, Jr. and Suzy Weber (Dan). Cherished grandmother of Olivia, Alana, and Ashley.

Barb,"Mrs. Pete" loved serving the Lord and was a long-time devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church in Forest Hills. She was always busy coordinating Vacation Bible School, Teaching Confirmation Classes, or organizing events during her many years of service. Barb was always busy serving others. She loved reading and leading the Bookworm Group for her community. Her passion was always caring for others through her faith as her Church “family” was always expanding. Her enthusiasm, generosity, faith, and ministry touched numerous lives. She was surely a blessing to all. Barb enjoyed numerous hobbies including gardening, bird watching, and reading. She also adored golfing and travel, especially trips to Otter Lake in Canada.

Friends and family will be received at Wolfe Memorial LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Sunday, March 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday, March 9, from 10am until the time of the funeral at 11am.
