Catherine “Cathy” L. Adamson

Of Salem Twp., age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Cherished sister of Leslie Mueller (Paul) of Murrysville and Dale Boyer (John) of Chartiers Twp. Dear aunt, affectionately known as “Dee”, of Stefanie Cerminara (Christopher), Jennifer Fox (Christopher), Scott Boyer, and Kevin Boyer. Great-aunt of Sydney & Dominic Cerminara and Addison & Ryan Fox. Dear friend of Kathy Stasek. Cathy was born on November 11, 1948, the oldest daughter of Ralph and Virginia (Sampson) Adamson, and was raised with her family in Forest Hills. She was a physical education and health teacher for over 30 years at Kane, Churchill, and Woodland Hills School Districts. She also coached girls’ volleyball, swimming, and basketball. She was a dog lover and a faithful member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, liturgist, Sunday School teacher, and sang in the choir. Family was very important to Cathy and she loved keeping up with the activities of her nieces and nephews. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Tuesday, April 23, from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Memorial service at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, April 24, at 11:00am. Private burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Penn Hills. Gifts in Cathy’s memory may be given to Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, 1840 Ardmore Blvd., Pittsburgh PA 15221.
