Dorothy “Dotty” (Coleman) DeStout
Of Penn Hills, and formerly of Lake Mary, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the age of 92. Dotty was born in Wilkinsburg on June 10, 1933, to the late David C. Coleman and Theresa (Tross) Coleman. She was the wife of the late Leonard G. DeStout who passed away on May 5, 2006. Beloved mother of Judi Clark (Bill) of Orlando, FL, the late Leslie Golen-Bronder (surviving husband Mark Bronder of Canonsburg), Joyce George (Brian) of Pleasant Hills, and Jay DeStout (Kristen) of Calabash, NC. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Brian C. George, and siblings, Virginia McMunn, Marveen Marbury, and David C. Coleman, Jr.
Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Saturday, June 28, from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am. Entombment in William Penn Cemetery, Churchill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, www.ovarian.org.
