Geraldine Hildenbrand

Geraldine "Gerry" Hildenbrand, age 78, passed away at Concordia of Monroeville on Saturday, October 5, 2024. She grew up in Forest Hills, the daughter of the late Ludwig and Helen (Ignac) Pasecny. She started attending Sunday school at age 10 at Christ Lutheran Church. She was then confirmed and baptized at Christ Lutheran and became a lifelong member.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Hildenbrand. Together they enjoyed travel, fishing, their cat “Hon”, and just being together.

Gerry enjoyed working at Sally’s Beauty Supply, and after her husband’s death, she worked at the Visiting Angels where she lovingly cared for elderly people in their home. Her Bible was her treasured possession. She read and studied it daily. Because of the use her Bible received, it finally was held together with glue, tape, and rubber bands. She had a very strong faith and was prepared to go to Heaven.

She is survived by her brother-in-law Gary Hildenbrand and his wife Linda, and also by her brother-in-law Robert Hildenbrand and his wife Margaret.

Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 400 Barclay Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Thursday, October 10, at 10:00am. Everyone please meet at Church. Burial in Denmark Manor Cemetery, Export.
