Janice M. Ewart

Formerly of Wilkins Twp., age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Rose Crest Assisted Living in Mars. Jan was born in Pittsburgh on May 4, 1933, to Newton and Meredith (Mays) Simons, along with her brother, the late Newton "Sonny" Simons (Sandy). She was the wife of William L. Ewart until his passing in 2016. Jan worked as a medical secretary and enjoyed playing tennis, teaching yoga, and skiing with her husband. She was the aunt of Carol McMillan (Randy) of Sewickley, Pam Landry (Gary) of New Orleans, LA, Steve Eversole (Lydia) of Bonita Springs, FL, and the late Jamie Ewart. Great-aunt of Theresa Adams (Joshua), Kelly Herman (Todd), Alex McMillan, Jordan McGowan (Nicholas), and Melissa Lightell (Daniel). Great great aunt of Damon, Savana, and Skylar Herman; Evelyn, Philip, and William Adams; Leon McGowan; and Jack Raymond Lightell. Cousin of Margery Mays Monroy. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Thursday from 11:30am until the time of the funeral service at 1:30pm.
