Jennifer Lynch-Leone, dba Jennifer Lynch Jackson, Esq., passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at her home in Penn Hills. Jennifer was born in Liberty Boro, PA, on November 23, 1975, the oldest child of Rowena and Donald Lynch.
Jennifer graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and earned her juris doctor (law degree) from Duquesne University. She built a successful law practice and was passionate about helping the disenfranchised seek justice. With a brilliant mind, dauntless resolve, ambition, and fiercely loyal client advocacy, she won almost every case (as well as anything else she put her mind to). She was a powerful force of nature, full of life. Jen was exceptionally generous with her time, talents, knowledge, and resources, frequently serving clients pro bono, teaching law, mentoring law students and adolescents. In both her work and her private life, she was non-judgmental, compassionate, and accepted everyone equally as human beings.
Her dynamic personality filled a room; her open heart created a welcoming home; and her fiery passion for life caused her to love hard, play hard and work hard. Family was everything to Jennifer. In 2005, She had her son, Julian, and he changed her life. He was the most important person in her world, and he expanded her capacity to love vastly. She always supported her sons’ dreams and was a remarkable mother. As she raised three teenagers, she consistently opened her home to their friends. Many teenage boys in Penn Hills called her “Mom,” and they appreciated daily high-quality hot meals, safe shelter, clothing and school supplies, sound advice about how to stay out of trouble, and a place they could always express themselves fully (not to mention the recording studio she built them).
She was a die-hard Steelers fan and enjoyed hosting parties with friends and family, especially annual Turkey Fests, 4th of July picnics, and Christmas festivities. Jennifer was an excellent chef whose homemade gnocchi is legendary. Her vibrancy, quick laugh, and compassionate generosity gathered friends and was the glue of her family. She was a true friend to her parents and siblings (and so many others) and a creative and fun aunt to her nieces and nephew.
Jennifer was unique in her strength, dogged determination, style, sense of humor and in her choice of pets. She loved pot belly pigs, especially her two pet pigs, PeedaWee and Chilly. She was passionate about abused/neglected pigs and supported Pigsburgh Squealers Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned, neglected and abused pet pigs.
She is survived by her husband, Remo Leone, and one son, Julian Lynch Isasky; two stepsons, Mark Isasky and Gio Dopico; her parents, Rowena and Donald Lynch; her sisters, Jessica Lynch Rivera, Elizabeth Lynch and daughter, Evelyn; her brother, Nathan Lynch (Kylene) and daughter, Mavis, and son, Coen; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and her two pigs (PeedaWee and Chilly).
Jennifer was predeceased by her grandparents, Donald and June Lynch of West Mifflin, and James and Anne Lamp of McKeesport.
