Joan (Scott) Amore

Of Churchill, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2020. She was born in Sharon, PA, the daughter of Francis Piazza, and was a graduate of Carlow University. Joan owned Amore Trenton Square which consisted of 6 townhomes and 56 apartments in Wilkinsburg which she managed herself until she retired. She was a founding member of the Pittsburgh Real Estate Women’s Association. She enjoyed traveling the world and was an accomplished photographer. Joan was a loving mother of four children, Vincent J. Amore, Carol J. Amore, Glenn R. Amore (Boots), and Gary E. Amore (Cindi); proud grandmother of Amanda Amore, Angela Amore, Alexis Amore, Michael Wilkins (Katie), Jonathan Wilkins, and AJ Wilkins. Sister of Jerri Minnis. All who knew Joan recognized her as an empathetic and caring person. 

Please join Joan's family for a Virtual Visitation on Wednesday from 12:00 noon to 12:45pm. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 1:00pm at St. John Fisher Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Interment in William Penn Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
