John Ursin Obituary

Of Churchill, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Arden Court in Monroeville, at the age of 100. He was the beloved husband of 65 years of Virginia E. Ursin. Loving father of Cheryl Wood (Brad) of Dublin, OH, and Kim Jusino (Arnold) of Wexford, PA. Dear grandfather of Lauren Mach (Alex) of Dublin, OH, Evan Wood (Ella) of Chicago, IL, and Hailey, Julia, and Kristen Jusino, of Wexford. Great-grandfather of Kaley and Madelynn Mach. Preceded in death by his 3 sisters, Anne Kania, Olga Frye, and Lorraine Zemarel. John was born in Duquesne on April 12, 1923, the son of John Myles and Anna (Kubany) Ursin. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and spent his career working in sales and marketing for Westinghouse. He was a secretary and past Master of Duquesne-McKeesport Masonic Lodge #731. John was also a proud WWII Army veteran. He enjoyed woodworking, skiing, and traveling, especially to Las Vegas and his cabin in the Laurel Mountains. Above all he was a family man. Friends are invited to a funeral service at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Thursday, May 25, at 11:00am.
