Joseph A. Rapier, Sr.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, and formerly of Orangevale, CA, age 78, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Petersburg, VA. Father of Joseph A. Rapier, Jr. (Sarah Siahaan) of Philadelphia and Christopher Rapier (Deena Blumenfeld) of the North Side. Also survived by 3 step-children, 2 grandchildren, and 2 step-grandchildren, as well as his wife of 24 years from whom he was separated. Joe’s military service was very important to him and he retired from the Air Force Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. He loved his dogs and his friends. Private burial in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorial gifts may be given to the American Civil Liberties Union, www.aclu.org.
