Josephine "Josie" Pasquarelli

Of Forest Hills, age 95, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, June 30, 2023. Josie was raised in North Braddock, the daughter of Salvatore and Julia Fumare. She graduated from Scott High School in 1944 and entered Braddock General Hospital School of Nursing. She graduated second in her class in 1948 and worked at the hospital as a Registered Nurse for 42 years until her retirement. She was happily married to her late husband John Pasquarelli for 66 years. Josie enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with family and friends and her wonderful neighbors.

Josie is survived by her loving daughters, Denise Gipson (the late Stephen) of Murrysville and Michele Antonelli (Richard) of Churchill; and her grandchildren, Grant Gipson, Meredith Gipson, Melissa Antonelli, and Jessica Antonelli DiSilvio (Geno). She was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Fiumara. She will be missed by many extended family members and dear friends. Josie’s family is grateful for the wonderful care she received from Arden Courts and Promedica Hospice.

Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. John Fisher Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Thursday, July 6, at 10:00am. Entombment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles.
