Judith D. Shepherd

Of Forest Hills, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025. She is survived by her children Gwen DiPietro (Phil), Sally Shepherd, and Michael Shepherd; grandchildren Alex de Poix (Jody), Andrew DiPietro, Julia DiPietro, Joe DiPietro; great-grandchildren Elsa de Poix, Lucy de Poix, and Jack de Poix. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Shepherd; parents Charles and Fredetta Day; her sister Virginia Valdiserri; and her beloved collies.

Judy handed down many skills to her children and grandchildren: cooking, gardening, creative problem-solving, crafting a beautiful home, and caring for family and community. She was a fierce shepherdess.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service in the Historic Chapel at Beulah Presbyterian Church, 2500 McCrady Road, Pittsburgh PA 15235, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00am.
