Kathleen Mae Barbour

Kathleen Mae Barbour, the epitome of "My grace is sufficient for thee", was born on February 15, 1957, was born again into Christ Jesus on June 28, 1966, and finally returned home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Beloved wife of John Barbour, Kathleen was the devoted and loving mother of Philip Tucker, Stephen Tucker (Nicole), and John Tucker (Katie), and loved her husband John's  sons, Aaron Barbour, Sean Barbour (Jenna), and Bradley Barbour (Chloe). Kathleen cherished her six Tucker grandchildren, Ava, Jack, Ellie, Noah, Paisley, and Lucy, and her five Barbour grandchildren, Campbell, Brett, Lilah, Brooke, and Bodie. Kathleen loved, and was loved, by her sisters Christine Blaney (deceased) and husband Denny, Karen Slonaker and husband Gary, and Melinda Cosentino and her husband Joe. Kathleen adored her nieces and nephews, Rachel (Michael), Daniel (Kim), Leanne (Ryan), Rebecca (Marty), Marianne (Michael), Susan (Kyle), Anthony (Lauren), Glen (Allison), Joe Jr. (Megan), and her great nieces and nephews. Kathleen also enjoyed many family memories with her numerous cousins. 

Kathleen was born in Wilkinsburg by her Godly and loving parents Frank Metzger (deceased) and Marion Metzger. Her parents' devotion to God, and their spiritual guidance, led Kathleen to being born again into Christ Jesus at 9 years old while attending Vacation Bible School.

Kathleen graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Hygiene in 1977 and worked as a dental hygienist for 5 1/2 years before becoming a happy homemaker for her family. Kathleen and Timothy Tucker (Mary Beth) were married in 1978 and resided in the east suburbs of Pittsburgh. Kathleen's life was centered around caring for her family, her close friends and her various church ministries, in service to Jesus.

Friends will be received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Thursday, April 3, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 4, at 10am. Burial in Church Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers you are welcome to donate to: Jessica and Friends Community, a faith-based organization benefiting individuals with Autism and intellectual disabilities.
