Of Forest Hills, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 20, 2020. She was born in Pittsburgh to Brigadier General Charles E. Tennant and Kathleen E. O'Connor. She graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh while raising 3 children. Early on she worked at Stanton Electric, but after completing her Master's degree at Pitt she found her passion in helping youth and became a social worker for Children, Youth, and Family Services in Allegheny County. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She is survived by her brother Chuck Tennant (Cathy) of TX and sister Nancy Stough (Dale) of Penn Hills; three children, Cynthia “Cindi” Amore (Gary), Craig Kodman, and Chad Kodman (Pam); ten grandchildren, Amanda Edwards, Michael Wilkins (Katie), Jonathan Wilkins, AJ Wilkins, Alexis Amore, Miah Kodman, Charles Kodman, Travis Kodman, Joshua Kodman, and Caleb Kodman; great-grandchildren, Mila Wilkins and Mickey Wilkins; four nephews, Chris and Coley Tennant, and Dale Jr. and Danny Stough (Lisa); and her beloved dogs, Frankie and Johnny.
Friends received at a memorial reception at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Thursday from 9:00am until 10:45am. Memorial Mass at St. Maurice Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, on Thursday at 11:00am. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.
