Kenneth Paul Lucas

Of Swissvale, age 75, passed away peacefully with his brother by his side on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, after a brave struggle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Paula Derence Lucas of Wilkins Twp.; his children Christie Marciszko and her husband Marcin of York, SC, and Vinnie Lucas and his wife Ana of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Ava, Caleb, Tony, Sam, Maria, and John; his brother Ronald V. Lucas of Whitehall; and his nieces, Deborah Serene and Kimberly Lucas.

Ken received a bachelor’s degree from California University of PA, and a Masters in Science Education from Penn State University. He was a science teacher at Keystone Oaks School District for many years and he also worked as a housepainter in the summers. He loved hiking and fishing and sports including baseball and especially football. Ken was a talented guitar player and loved music and he had a quick wit and made his family laugh.

Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Friday, Sept. 22, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul Cathedral in Oakland on Saturday, September 23, at 10am. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Burial in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
