Leonard was born October 28, 2022 and passed from this life all too early on the same day in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the beloved son of Rachael Irene Hagerman and Nathan Robert Curtis of Braddock, PA.
He is survived by his aunt, Naomi Ariel Curtis, and uncle, Eddie Opat, and their children Psyche Ariel Clute and Mason Edward Opat of Braddock, PA; by his uncle, Preston Robert Hagerman, and aunt, Sierra Lyons, and their son Robert Ogden Hagerman of Kennerdell, PA; by his paternal grandparents, Byron Gilmore Curtis and Sue Ann Curtis of Beaver Falls, PA; and by his maternal grandparents, Loren Ogden Hagerman and Rebecca Leigh Hagerman of Kennerdell, PA. He was loved already by many dear friends and relatives—and shall be loved always.
Leonard was a big boy, born nine pounds and seven ounces! He was astonishingly vigorous and active during the time his mother carried him. Carrying her son made the happiest of times for Rachael. Leonard particularly enjoyed dancing to music as Nathan would play guitar sitting closely with Rachael.
Leonard’s namesake was his great-grandfather, Leonard Kenneth Heitzenrater (d. 2009), of Falls Creek, PA. It was an immense joy for Leonard’s parents to imagine the life and memories they were going to build together. “L.T.” will be cherished and remembered always. He was beautiful and perfect!
