Mary Kathleen (Keenan) LaFace

Of Churchill, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Juniper Village of Forest Hills. Loving mother of Gregg LaFace, Karen LaFace, MD (Andrew Getzin, MD), Beth LaFace (Herv Galic), and the late Linda LaFace. Cherished grandmother of Nicole LaFace (Sydney Morgan), Zoe Getzin, Lucy Getzin, Quentin Getzin, and Isabella LaFace. Also survived by her former daughter-in-law Laura LaFace.

Mary Kay, as she was known, was married to Eugene A. LaFace for 61 years. They shared an amazing love and remained best friends until his passing in 2023.

Mary Kay grew up in Morningside, the only daughter of Lawrence and Kathleen (Brennan) Keenan. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated second in her class at Duquesne University where she met her husband. After receiving her CPA degree she operated her own successful accounting practice and also helped to run her husband’s business for over 40 years. She accomplished all this while raising 4 rambunctious children. She was well ahead of her time in her progressive ideology, enjoyed her book club, swimming, playing tennis and paddle ball at Edgewood Country Club, and maintained a dedicated yoga practice well into her 80s. She will always be loved and profoundly missed by her family.

Friends will be received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Saturday, Nov. 29, from 10am until the time of the Blessing Service at 11am. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery followed by a luncheon for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Humane Animal Rescue, www.humaneanimalrescue.org/donate/, or Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania, www.plannedparenthood.org.
