Of Penn Township, age 53, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 7, 2026. Beloved father of Madelyn and Zachary. Cherished son of parents Ruth Galya and the late Michael. Treasured brother to Susan Galya and Diane Regule (John). Loving uncle to Hope, Hailey, and Grant Regule, and fur-ever adored by his dog, Max.
Michael’s relationship with Christ was the foundation of everything he did. Michael shared his faith and testimony with all that crossed his path. Throughout his illness, Michael never complained as he continued to glorify God and trust that God was in control.
After graduating from Penn State University, Michael was recruited by Motorola, Inc. and moved to Arizona to begin his logistics career. Michael earned an M.B.A. from Arizona State University and went on to work for Panalpina Global Logistics Company as Vice President and IBM where he traveled the world and lived life as an expatriate in Milan, Italy.
During Covid, Michael moved from Colorado back to Pittsburgh to help care for his beloved mother with whom he had a special relationship but shortly after was diagnosed with cancer and spent his last years being cared for and truly loved by his sister, Susan. The family is comforted knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8.
Friends will be received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00pm, at which time there will be a Home-Going Celebration with Pastor Jake Livella of New Stanton Assembly of God officiating.
