Of Forest Hills, age 85, unexpectedly passed away at her residence on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. Miranda is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John Carretta; five daughters: Maria Carretta of Sharpsburg, Anita Onufer (Roger) of Greensburg, Susan Hoover (Chris) of Dallas, TX, Myra Herbert (Scott) of Penn Hills, and Clara Jablonski (Jeff) of Robinson Twp.; 14 grandchildren: Peter, Addison, Lydia, Oliver, Kelsey, Daniel, John, Natalie, Anita, Marissa, Zachary, Matthew, Crista, and Kendal; and two great-grandchildren: Skylar and Maxwell. Miranda welcomed everyone into her kitchen where she warmed hearts with her wonderful cooking and friends became family over glasses of homemade wine. She loved her grandchildren most of all and always encouraged them to be their best. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Friday 2-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Catholic Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 1025 Braddock Avenue, Braddock, PA 15104, on Saturday at 10:00am. Interment in Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery.
