Richard H. Platt

Of Wilkins Twp., age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Husband of the late Carole J. (Rose) Platt. Father of Dr. Julie R. Alexander (Phill) of Richmond, IN, and Amy R. Gesso (Darryl) of Canonsburg, PA. Grandfather of Samuel and Rose Gesso. Brother of Harold E. Platt, Jr. (Connie), Jeffrey M. Platt (Sandra), and Susan G. Bee (Jim).

Dick was a retired PA licensed funeral director and former Inspector for the PA State Board of Funeral Directors. He was a member of Stein Collectors International and co-founder of the Pittsburgh Stein Society. He was a life member, formerly on the Board of Directors, and Trustee of Teutonia Männerchor. Dick proudly served in the 107 FA, PA Army National Guard from 1969-1975.

Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Maurice Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Tuesday at 11am. Interment in William Penn Cemetery.
