Obituary

Of North Huntingdon, formerly of N. Braddock and Wilkins Twp., age 98, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Piermani for 57 years. Loving mother of William, Tony (Lorraine), Frances, and John Piermani. Proud grandmother of Angela Comas (Tony), Carmen Piermani, Maria Piermani, Mary Carlson, Matthew Kastner (Lindsay Brace), and 6 great-grandchildren. Rita was born in N. Braddock to William J. and Catherine G. (Kennedy) Barnes. She was a graduate of Scott High School in N. Braddock and Noble-Thompson Institute of Pittsburgh. She was employed at the University of Pittsburgh for 20 years, then worked part time at Medical and Surgical Eye Associates in Forest Hills until her retirement at the age of 92. Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Fisher Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish on Thursday at 10:00am. Burial in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
