Age 78, of Churchill, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024. Born in Braddock, PA, in 1946, Susan was the beloved wife of Alan, devoted mother to Jeffrey and his wife Chasity, cherished Gigi to Elizabeth and Maya, loving sister of Ron Boyle (Barbara), sister-in-law of Lorraine Boyle, John Bache (Evelyn), Robert Bache (Jan), and a dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Susan’s greatest joy was her family, with whom she shared countless memories of traveling, baking, crafting, and enjoying life’s little pleasures. Some of her fondest memories included visiting her family in Germany and Connecticut and playing many competitive board and card games with her granddaughters. She also loved watching her favorite soap operas and Lifetime movies, especially Christmas films, which brought her so much joy.
A 1964 graduate of Swissvale High School, Susan retired after a fulfilling career as a secretary at US Steel and later as an information specialist at Eastern Area Adult Services. Her love, warmth, and feisty humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard S. Boyle, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Neistrom), as well as her brothers Allan and Richard, and brother-in-law David Bache (Barbara).
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate the legacy Susan leaves behind at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Thursday 2-4 and 6-8pm. A service to honor Susan’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 10am followed by burial in Monongahela Cemetery, North Braddock. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be given to St. Michael Orthodox Church, 146 3rd Avenue, Rankin PA 15104. Susan will be forever loved and remembered.
