William C. Fisher

Age 87, of Chalfant Borough, formerly of Forest Hills, passed away peacefully after giving it his all on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Dear father of Karen Bentz (George McAllister) of Grindstone, PA. Brother of Lorraine Crupie (late John), Cynthia Price (Joe), Mary Kay Surowiec (Chuck), and Ronald Fisher (Mary Ann Povich). Godfather of Sandy Fisher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by brothers Howard, Keith, and Kenneth, Jr. Bill was the former husband of the late Mary Elizabeth "Dolly" (Smith) Fisher and companion of the late Althea "Butch" Morrison, and her children, the late Sean Morrison (Lucy), Debbie Morrison (Chuck Cudlippe), Michelle Morrison, and her grandchildren Tom, Gracie, Sean, and Anna. 

Bill was born June 3, 1937, to Kenneth J. and Mae (Hoover) Fisher. He had a long career with the Road Department of Forest Hills. He served in the Army Reserves and was a State Constable and a member of PA State Constables Association. Bill was a Commander of the Sheriff's Reserves, a devoted member of the Provost Guard of Syria Temple and other Masonic affiliations. He was also a member of the Wilkins Elks Club and the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. He was a lifetime member of Forest Hills Volunteer Fire Department.

 
Friends received at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3600 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221, on Sunday, August 11, from 1-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral service Monday at 11am in the funeral home chapel. Memorial gifts may be given to Forest Hills Volunteer Fire Dept., 2067 Ardmore Blvd., Pittsburgh PA 15221.
